Celkon Campus A518

The Celkon Campus A518 is an entry-level smartphone with two SIM card slots.

It features a 5-inch capicitive touchscreen with a WVGA (840x480) resolution. While the display is quite basic, it is good enough to fulfill basic needs such as watching videos, reading content and playing some basic games. Powered by a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM, the Campus A518 should provide ample performance when it comes to toggling between apps and playing basic games.

In the imaging department, the handset is equipped with a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It should not be expected to match the levels of pricey phones' camera sensors but it is capable of taking decent pictures and make video calls. The 4GB internal storage is available on board but it can be enhanced further via a microSD card.

Celkon's Campus A518 houses a 2,000 mAh battery that is sufficient considering its screen size and processor, which should not consume a lot of power. It should last a day on general usage. On the software front, it runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which comes preloaded with a bunch of Google apps and services such as Gmail, Google, Search, Hangouts etc.

The Campus A518 transfers data through HSPA+, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, microUSB and dual-SIM card slots. It also has a dedicated FM radio app that should take care of your music needs while on-the-go.

The device can prove to be a good option for those who want to use it as a secondary phone or those who just want to buy a basic Android phone. But if you can spend a bit more money you can get some better options such as Motorola's Moto E, Redmi 1S, Micromax Yureka Yu or Micromax Yuphoria.
