Coolpad Note 3 Plus

Coolpad Note 3 Plus is the third variant of the Note series. The device only has an additional Full HD display as compared to the Note 3. While rest of the specs remain unaltered there isn't any special feature that needs further introduction.

The Coolpad Note 3 Plus packs a Li-Ion 3,000 mAh cell that is sure to keep your functioning with moderate to heavy usage. An array of connectivity options tag along with the Note 3 Plus. Similar to the Note 3, there are options like 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port to transfer files to and fro from your PC.

Design wise the device looks exactly like its predecessor, the Coolpad Note 3. The device has a metal rim running along its sides which are paired with a glass front and a plastic back. The removable back cover is weak and can be bent easily. At the back lies the fingerprint reader which is fast and works flawlessly. To be precise, the company claims that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds. On its face, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD display that is paired with decent viewing angles and reproduces a crisp and vibrant visual experience. However, the screen does not have Gorilla Glass protection but is scratch-resistant.

At its heart, the smartphone includes a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor that ensures smooth sailing. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM that enables lag-free multitasking. You can work and navigate among multiple apps simultaneously without facing any performance drop. For storing apps the device has 16GB of onboard storage space and to make way for your personal files the storage capacity can further be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card.

You can capture vibrant and detailed images using the 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera which includes a 5 element HD lens and a f/2.0 aperture. There is an LED flash which allows you to shoot in the dark as well. If you love video calls and selfies then there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to support your cause. On the software front, the Note 3 Plus runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Coolpad's own Cool UI 6.0 on top. The phone also supports certain gestures like tap to wake, swipe down to access the camera, draw a W for Whatsapp and an E for the browser. Another important feature is the ability to lock any application using the fingerprint sensor.
