Coolpad Note 5 Lite C

Chinese smartphone vendor Coolpad has introduced another variant of the Coolpad Note 5 Lite. The Note 5 Lite C as the new device is called ships with regular entry-level hardware which suggests that the smartphone is targetted towards first-time smartphone users. The device is sleek and easily fits in the palm thanks to the rounded edges. Also, at the back, the smartphone sports a fingerprint reader. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display which is bright and reproduces vivid colours. However, outdoor visibility remains an issue as one has to struggle to read the screen when placed under bright sunlight.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is powered by a Li-Ion 2,500mAh battery which supports talk time up to 6 hours and in terms of software, the smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat. Android Nougat comes with exciting features like one can reply directly from the reply option in the notifications you receive, you can also manage notifications; with a long-press on a notification, you can opt to disable or silence alerts for the respective app, etc.

Being an entry-level smartphone, the device features modest hardware which includes a basic 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary shooter is also aided with an LED flash to help you shoot images and videos in the dark. The front-facing camera on the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C can be used for video calling and selfies.
Under the hood, the handset is armed with a 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 chipset which ensures decent performance. The SoC is coupled with 2GB of RAM.

To help users install apps and other data, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is bundled with 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further using a microSD card up to 64GB.
To help you remain connected, the smartphone has all the standard options like 4G, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port.
