HTC Desire V

Out of the Taiwanese manufacturer, the HTC Desire V is the company s first dual-SIM smartphone. Featuring mid-range hardware, the device is one of the best dual-SIM smartphones in the market.

It features a 4-inch display with three Android buttons for navigation at the bottom. The TFT display brings out pretty colours and has decent viewing angles that helps in outdoor visibility. Because of its white plastic body, the phone gives out the same premium feel like the HTC One X flagship. The metallic elements on the back also attracts attention. The device is 9.3 mm thick and fits perfectly in the palm thanks to its curved edges. The only odd thing about the device is its lock key, it is placed in the middle of the unit s top side while the volume controls lie on the left.

The device is capable of fitting in two SIM cards at the same time. It also has regular connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, microUSB 2.0 port and Bluetooth 4.0. Fuelled by a Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery, the device is expected to last for an entire day with moderate usage.

It has a 5-megapixel rear camera for clicking photos and recording videos. There is an LED flash that helps photography in low-light environment. There is no secondary camera at the front, so selfie lovers can expect to feel dejected. The smartphone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich wrapped under the HTC Sense UI 4.0. It is available in black and white colours.

Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Cortex-A5 processor with a clock speed of 1GHz to ensure seamless performance. Also to allow multitasking without any fuss HTC has included 512MB of RAM. To store apps and personal files the device has an internal storage capacity of 4GB which can further be expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB.
