HTC U Play Details

The HTC U Play is the latest mid-range phone from HTC that lacks a 3.5mm audiojack, the other being the HTC Evo which was the first of HTC’s to lack the feature. The u Play features a number of strong core specs.
Display and Design
The U Play comes with an IPS LCD that is 5.2-inches and shows Full HD media. Content is detailed with 424 PPI pixel density. The phone’s display does not feature scratch resistant protection. The larger screen counterpart of the U Play, the HTC U Ultra features a 6.00-inch display with QHD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass. Both phones are available in various color options.
Platform and Memory
The chipset that powers the U Play is the MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 that bears a 4GB RAM and a 1.4 GHz eight-core CPU that runs apps with good speed and minimal lag. The U Play runs Nougat 7.0 OS with Sense Touch UI on top, as does the U Ultra. 32GB of storage that can be pushed to 256GB with microSD cards is what the U Play has to offer. The U Ultra features a 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage with similar expandable space. A Mali-T860MP2 facilitates graphics for games and entertainment on the U Play.

HTC U Play has a 16-megapixel rear camera that only takes good pictures. The camera also features LED flash for low-light situations, PDAF for almost instant image capture, and is capable of recording in FHD and HD. The selfie camera in the U Play is also 16-megapixels. The HTC U Ultra, on the other hand, features a 24-megapixel + 13-megapixel dual camera setup. The U Play is powered by a 2,500mAh battery that runs less than twenty hours but can quickly be replenished by Quick Charge technology that the chipset is equipped with. The U Ultra runs on a 4,000mAh battery.

The U Play has space for two nano SIM cards through which the phone facilitates 4G and 3G networks. Other connectivity options the U Play has to offer include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n standards, support for A-GPS, GLONASS and GPS, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 4.1.
