Whereas the iPad has done wonders for Apple’s revenue, Android manufacturers have struggled to really put their fingers on the pulse of the typical Android tablet user. After all, despite iPads being so popular there aren’t any excellent Android tablets that one can really choose from besides a couple of options from Samsung and Lenovo. We sure are glad to see Huawei enter the tablet game a bit more seriously this year, even though the Chinese company has been releasing tablets since 2011. Shortly after releasing the Huawei MatePad, Huawei has also taken the covers off its MatePad T8. This tablet is less powerful than the MatePad, but an attractive device nonetheless. The new MatePad T8 comes with an 8 inch IPS LCD display offering a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels at a 16:10 ratio. This tablet features a MediaTek chipset inside it instead of a Kirin SoC, viz, the Mediatek MT8768, which is a tablet-specific chipset. You get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space plus you get a microSDXC slot to further add memory. The tablet runs EMUI 10, Huawei’s custom Android ROM, but it does not offer support for Google services. You get a 5MP snapper on the rear and a tiny 2MP selfie camera on the front. The Huawei MatePad T8 features a battery with a backup of 5100mAh battery with which you can expect to get through a day comfortably on a single charge. Some of the popular Huawei tablets include the Huawei Honor MediaPad T3 10 Tablet, Huawei MatePad, and the Huawei Honor MediaPad T5.
