Intex Aqua Note 5.5

Budget smartphone manufacturer Intex announced the release of the Intex Aqua Note 5.5. Unlike its other counterparts, the Aqua Note 5.5 aims at offering slightly more features than one would expect in a smartphone in the budget segment. The device measures 15.3 x 1 x 7.8 cm in size and weighs 177 grams and is available in the Champagne Gold colour. 

The Intex Aqua Note 5.5 has a surprisingly large 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720x1080(267ppi pixel density), which is powered by a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. It is one of the very few phones at the price point that offers a 5.5-inch display. The primary camera is 8-megapixels with LED flash, face detection and digital zoom. The secondary camera is a 5-megapixel shooter also with an LED flash. The camera performance is almost as good as one would expect from a smartphone in the lower-mid range to mid-range segment and it is significantly better than most of their competitors' devices. 

As expected, the hardware on the Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is scaled down to keep the price low. The SoC is a quad-core MediaTek MT6737V processor clocked at 1.25GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD expansion slot. It is powered by a 2,800mAh non-removable Li-ion battery, which should easily last most users for a full day. The smartphone is set to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, which is impressive considering its limited hardware capabilities. 

The Intex Aqua Note 5.5 is a dual-SIM phone with both SIM card slots offering compatibility with 4G. Other connectivity features include support for 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. It also includes a light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope.
