The device measures 154.5mm, 8.3mm, and 77.5mm for height, breadth, and length, whereas the weight of the device is 158 grammes. The thin bezels and a compact body give the device a screen-to-body ratio of 70%. The Intex Aqua Prime is available in Gold, Grey, and Champagne.

The Intex Aqua Prime 4G sports an on-cell 5.5-inches display with an HD (1280x720) resolution. The device also comes pre-installed with a plastic protection film to protect against scratches. However, the display is unsafe from accidental drops. The Intex Aqua Prime 4G uses Superpix and Samsung camera modules on the front and the back. The front-facing camera resolution is 2-megapixels, while the primary camera resolution is 8-megapixels, among which, only the primary camera is equipped with autofocus technology. Surprisingly, the primary camera is also equipped with dual-tone LED flash that is found only on mid-range and high-range devices.

The Intex Aqua Prime 4G comes with a quad-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1GHz. Intex has used the MediaTek MT6735P chipset and mated it to 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The onboard storage is 8GB of which only 3.37GB is available to the user. The Intex Aqua Prime 4G comes loaded with Android s 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The device is pre-loaded with applications like Game Store, Video Store, Tap N Buy, Vistoso, and Mifon for added features out-of-the-box.

The Intex Aqua Prime 4G is fed by a 2,800 mAh Li-Po battery that can provide a talk time of 11 hours and a standby time of 500 hours. The Intex Aqua Prime 4G as the name of the device suggests has 4G technology for faster data speeds. The device can be connected wirelessly through Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0 port, and also a 3.5mm audio jack for listening to music.
