Intex Aqua S1 Details

Introduction
Intex announced the release of (yet) another device in the budget smartphone segment, the Intex Aqua S1. Intex has chosen to walk the path chosen by Asus to release as many devices as possible, with each one being more or less identical. The device is 145.40 x 73.10 x 10.10mm in size and weighs approximately 160 grams. It is available in Black and Champagne Gold colours.
Display and Camera
The Intex Aqua S1 features a 5-inch FWVGA display powered by a Mali T720 GPU. The primary camera is 5-megapixels with LED flash, and the secondary camera is also a 5-megapixel shooter. The performance of the primary camera is average at best, but the secondary camera fares slightly better in this regard. The display and camera have been scaled down to keep the cost of the device low.
Hardware and Software
The Intex Aqua S1 features a quad-core MediaTek MT6737V processor clocked at 1.25GHz along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD expansion. The 1GB of RAM is barely enough to run something as mundane as Facebook, and multitasking/gaming is impossible on the device. The microSD expansion is much needed as well, as 8GB of internal storage will run out after installing a few apps. It is powered by a 2,300mAh battery, which should last a day with light use, but might require a charge if the usage is moderate. The device is expected to run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box, which seems unlikely, considering the hardware.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The Intex Aqua S1 is a dual SIM phone with both slots compatible with 4G and VoLTE. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The Intex Aqua S1 is aimed at users who want a phone at a relatively low cost and are not looking for fancy features. Get yours at the lowest price online by checking out our best offers.
