Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie

Indian smartphone manufacturer and Intex's closest competitor; Karbonn, announced the release of a yet another budget device, the Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie. Much like most of their earlier devices, the Karbonn K9 Selfie Smart is a budget phone with its features cut down to a bare minimum to keep the price low. 

The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie features a 5-inch TFT panel with a resolution of 480x854, which is on par with other devices at the price point and offers a strictly average viewing experience. The primary camera is  5-megapixels with LED flash and the secondary camera is a more powerful 8-megapixels also with LED flash. As suggested by the name, the front-facing camera of the device has been made more powerful, to enhance the quality of selfies captured by it. The quality of images captured by it is surprisingly good, considering the price of the device. 

The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie features a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at a dismal 1.1GHz, along with an equally dismal 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via micro SD expansion. The battery is a decent 2,300mAh Li-Ion unit which should last you a day with light usage, but anything above that will most likely require you to charge the device halfway through the day. The device is expected to run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. 

The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie is a dual SIM phone with both SIM slots compatible with 4G and VoLTE. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB slot for charging and data transfer. The device also features sensors such as an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor. The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie is an excellent budget entry-level device.
