Lava A52

Domestic smartphone makers Lava has come up with yet another entry-level smartphone in the form of Lava A52. The latest A-series edition features low-end hardware and is targetted towards people having less smartphone usage.

The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core chipset coupled with 512MB of RAM which does not sound much but is enough to keep the device functioning smoothly. Less storage mean fewer apps and that also cuts on the multitasking requirements of the user thus paving the way for a lag-free smartphone experience. For storing basic apps and other media files there is 4GB of internal storage space which can further be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

Although the Lava A52 sports a rear and front camera, they both act more like a showpiece than an imaging device. At the back, there is a 2-megapixel camera which can click low-end images and record videos. To aid in low light there is an LED flash. On the front, the device comes with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing shooter.

The Lava A52 features a 4-inch FWVGA screen which does its job when viewed indoors. The display on the device continues to fade as you stroll out in the sun. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone comes with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. The Lava A52 runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box and is fuelled by a Li-Ion 1,200 mAh cell.
