Display & Camera
The Lava Iris Atom 2X has a 4.5-inch display that uses TFT technology. To make the device affordable, Lava has skipped the usage of IPS technology, which would have benefited the viewing angles. The display has FWVGA (854 x 480) resolution, with each pixel supporting up to 16 million colours for better picture colour accuracy. The Lava Iris Atom 2X uses a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the back. The sensor is mated to the lens from Largan Precision, which is a quite famous camera module manufacturer. Taking pictures and videos in the darker environment is assisted by the LED flash provided. Capturing wide images is also possible on the Lava Iris Atom 2X as it has a panorama mode. Also present is the grid, HDR mode, and photo timer for better image capturing convenience. For video calling and self-portrait purposes, the device has a VGA camera on the front.
