Lava Pixel V1

The Lava Pixel V1 is the company s first Android One smartphone, and can be called as the second-generation device from Google s Android One series of smartphones. This dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage space, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and a large 2,650 mAh battery.

The Lava Pixel V1 features a sleek design with glass front and metal back. The screen covers a major part of the front, and there are no buttons below the display, neither physical nor capacitive. The power as well as volume buttons are on the right hand side of the device. The camera sensor, an accompanying flash, the company s logo, and the loudspeaker is on the back. The back panel can be removed to access the battery and the microSD card slot using the latch that is present on the side.

The camera sensor with a pixel size of 1.4 micro metres is equipped with a F/2.0 aperture, further improving low-light capabilities and an improvement in the bokeh effect. There s a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which comes with a 4P lens, that is said to be interpolated to a resolution of 8 megapixels.

The device runs stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and the company is promising latest software updates for as long as two years after its release date. This means that it will definitely get two major Android updates, including the upcoming Android M. The software updates come directly from Google, so users don t need to worry about the delays and uncertainties regarding the latest software features as well as security patches.
