Lava Z80

Lava announced the release of four new smartphones, one of which is the Lava Z80. The Lava Z80 is a budget device that aims to offer a premium experience at a reduced cost. It is 144.20 x 71.00 x 8.40mm in size and weighs approximately 137 grams. It is available in Gold and Black colours. 

The Lava Z80 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720x1080(294 ppi pixel density). The primary camera is 8-megapixels with LED flash, and the secondary camera is 5-megapixels. The camera performance can be termed as average, as it is not the focal point of the device, hence it has been scaled down to keep the price low. 

The Lava Z80 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD expansion. The battery is a 2,500mAh Li-Ion unit, which will most likely need charging twice a day to remain operational. The device also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which seems to be a standard in most modern-day smartphones. It is expected to run Android 7.0 nougat customized with Star OS 4.1. 

The Lava Z80 is a dual SIM phone with both SIM slots compatible with 4G and VoLTE. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The device also has sensors such as an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and a gyroscope.
