The Micromax Canvas A1 is a value-for-money 4.5-inch IPS display screen with FWVGA screen resolution of 480x854 pixels which gives good clarity. It competes with Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream Uno in its price segment. This device comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor with 1GB RAM which gives you good performance. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

In terms of camera, you get a 5-megapixel rear camera with Flash and Autofocus with this device. A 2-megapixel front camera is also present with which you can take selfies and make video calls. You can also record high quality videos. You also get additional imaging features such as 360-degree photosphere, Panorama Mode and Lens Blur Mode which you can use to enhance your pictures. In terms of storage capacity, the Micromax Canvas A1 comes with 4GB of internal storage, 2.1GB memory space for apps, and 32GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot.

The device offers you 3G, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS in terms of network connectivity. The device gives you three kind of sensors : G-sensor, Proximity sensor and Light sensor.This dual-SIM device also gives you access to pre-installed apps such as Amazon, Hike, Ask Me and M! Live. Moreover, Airtel users can download apps for free for the first 6 months.

The device supports MP4, 3GPP and 3GP video formats at a resolution of 720p at 30fps. The audio formats supported are MP3, MID, AMR, AAC, WAV. You can also tune into FM and listen to your favorite radio stations. Along with the package you get a 3.5mm ear jack.

The device is backed by a 1,700mAh battery which gives you 160 hours in Standby mode and 6 hours in Talk time mode. Needless to say, the battery life is far from impressive, so users will need to be careful with how they use the device.
