Micromax Canvas HD A116i

Micromax Canvas HD 116i is the sequel and upgraded version of Micromax Canvas HD. The phone has dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) capability and runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system. It is powered with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT 6589 processor. The device has 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage that could be further expanded upto 32 GB using micro-SD card.

Micromax Canvas HD 116i sport a 5 inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels that gives an effective pixel density of about 294 PPI.

The device currently runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 operating system but rumors suggest that Micromax is already prepraring to roll out Jelly Bean 4.2.1 update for the device. The phone comes pre-installed with common apps and software features including Google search, Gmail, Hangouts, Maps, Photo and Video editor, etc.

The device has a 8 MP primary auto-focus camera with LED Flash on the rear and a 2 MP secondary front facing camera. Other camera features of the device is not yet announced officially but the primary camera should ideally be able to shoot videos in full HD 1080p format. The device should also be able to support playback of other multimedia formats including, but not limited to, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, etc.

Since the phone has not been announced officially yet, the battery details of the phone is still unknown to us. Coming to the connectivity options of the device, it includes GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, USB v2.0.
