Micromax Canvas Xpress 2

Micromax, the India-based smartphone manufacturer, has added a new device to their Xpress series. The new Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is an entry-level smartphone that comes with attractive features and is expected to compete with the likes of other players in the similar price segment like Asus, Xiaomi, Intex and its own subsidiary Yu. The device is available in black colour with a golden rim around it.

The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor that ensures smooth sailing. Keeping in mind the multitasking habits of users, Micromax has included 1GB of RAM. To take care of your storage, there is 8GB of onboard storage which can further be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card slot.

The new Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 features a 5-inch HD display which produces bright colours and crystal clear images. The device also has great viewing angles and can easily be seen while outdoors. The screen also comes with a coating of Corning s Gorilla Glass 3 which keeps your screen scratch-free. The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat but can be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

In the imaging depot, the device sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with OV sensor, 5P Largan Lens, Blue Glass filter that captures stunning images and videos. Also, there is dual-LED flash that helps in low-light photography. For selfie lovers, there is a 2-megapixel front shooter.

Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. There is a Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery that keeps the show running for an entire day. The smartphone also features a Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo DAC for an enhanced audio experience. The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is sold via a flash sale on online retailer Flipkart.
