While competitors are struggling to reduce bezels and offer maximum screen real estate, the Moto E6 Play offers a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with thick bezels and a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 293 ppi.

The Moto E6 Play is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset from Qualcomm. Graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 505 GPU. The phone packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, but also offers the option of adding up to 256GB of expandable memory. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie. The camera specs of the phone are a little disappointing, even by budget phone standards you get a 13MP rear camera and for selfies, there is a 5MP camera on the front.
