Motorola phones have a unique design theme which makes its phones immediately recognizable. The Moto G9 Play comes with a 6.3-inch LCD panel that offers a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. The screen has a pixel density of 273 ppi.

On the G9 Play, you can expect decent mid-range performance as it is equipped with an Helio P70 SoC. The chipset comes with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU to handle the graphics processing duties like heavier apps and gaming. The phone also has 3GB of RAM and storage space of 64GB, which you can push to 512 GB thanks to the memory card slot. The phone runs on Android 10. For photography, the phone offers decent flexibility as it features a 16MP primary shooter and an 8MP wide snapper, as well as a 5MP depth sensor for bokeh shots. For selfies, you get a 13MP sensor on the front. You can record 1080p videos with both front and back cameras.

The battery life of Moto phones has always been satisfactory but it s great that Motorola has packed a battery of large capacity (4100mAh) into the Moto G9 Play. In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear and the phone features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Thankfully, Motorola has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones.
