The Nokia 106 (2018) offers nothing new with respect to the old Nokia 106. The feature phone sports a polycarbonate body and has an alphanumeric keypad on the front. The USP of the Nokia 106 (2018) is that it offers 15.7 hours talk time compared to the old variant that was capped at 10 hours.

The Nokia 106 (2018) comes with a 1.8-inch QQVGA (160x128 pixels) color TFT display along with a 4-way Navi key. The screen, although small, is ideal for basic usage like voice calling and text messaging. Also, the device can hold up to 2000 contacts and 500 text messages.

Nokia's feature phone performances have never been an issue and the Nokia 106 (2016) follows the same trait. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6261D chipset and 4MB of RAM. The handset comes with classic Snake Xenzia and preloaded try-and-buy games like Nitro Racing, Danger Dash, and Tetris. There is also a flashlight on top.

The only significant improvement in the Nokia 106 (2018) is its battery backup. Even though the device is fuelled by a modest 800mAh battery, the company touts it to last up to 21 days on standby and 15.7 hours talk time.
