Oppo is a brand name that has been around for many years and most people knew it for its brick and mortar stores and offline marketing, where it had captured a massive slice of the budget segment in India’s smartphone market. But 2017-2018 saw the rise of brands like Xiaomi, Realme and Honor. But Oppo stepped up to meet the competition and danced toe to toe with the best. It’s trump card was the Reno series which made its debut with the flagship Oppo Reno in 2018. The brand catalog then expanded to include a wide range of mid range devices as well and now the Oppo Reno brand is a bit diluted but for Oppo, it definitely served the purpose. Now we have a new phone under the Reno tag — the Oppo Reno 3A. This device has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset from Qualcomm and it packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard memory with the option of adding up to 256GB of expandable memory thanks to the memory card slot. The rear camera setup is a four-sensor configuration made up of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For front facing photos, the Reno 3A is equipped with a 16MP selfie camera. Powering the device is its 4025mAh battery which also supports VOOC 4.0 charging. Some of the popular Oppo mobile phones include the Oppo Reno 3 Pro, the Oppo F15, and the Oppo A31.
