Panasonic Eluga A4

Panasonic announced the release of another device in their Eluga series; the Panasonic Eluga A4. The Eluga series of smartphones are budget devices, offering mid-tier features at an affordable price. The device measures 149.50 x 74.00 x 8.95 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 162.00 grams. 

The Panasonic Eluga A4 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720x1080, which is consistent with most devices in the price range. The primary camera is 13-megapixels with LED flash and the secondary camera is 5-megapixels, just about enough for a decent selfie. The cameras on the devices have been scaled down to keep the price of the device low, directly affecting the quality of images shot by them. 

The Panasonic Eluga A4 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD expansion. The highlight of the device is the 5,000mAh Li-ion battery that powers it, which can easily last two days on a single charge. While the 3GB RAM should be sufficient for multitasking and memory-heavy applications, mundane tasks such as navigation through menus and scrolling through call logs will be a bit of a chore, given the MediaTek processor. The Panasonic Eluga A4 is expected to run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. 

The Panasonic Eluga A4 is a dual SIM phone with one SIM compatible with 4G and VoLTE, and the other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The sensors on the device include an accelerometer, proximity sensor an ambient light sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
