Samsung is looking to expand its A series of smartphones to different price segment. You have phones costing between Rs 25,000 and Rs 40,000 and now with Galaxy A42, you have a device which is priced below others in its lineup. The new Galaxy A phone comes with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. The phone runs on Android 10 based One UI 2.0 version. It comes powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 512GB. It packs triple rear cameras which includes 48MP sensor, 8MP sensor and 5MP sensor. On the front you have 25MP camera which sits inside the waterdrop notch. Samsung has packed the phone with 3,500mAh battery which can be charged using USB Type C port, also used for data transfer.

Galaxy A42 gets a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. It gets pixel density of 409 ppi and in-display fingerprint sensor. It sports a waterdrop notch at the top middle. The back panel is made of glass and metal which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
