Samsung Galaxy A61

The Galaxy A61 is one of the phones that Samsung has lined up as part of its A-series smartphones for 2020. The phone is a step-up from last year’s Galaxy A60, offering a 6.4-inch LCD display with the signature punch-hole camera on the left side of the display, although it’s a lot smaller than the one on the A60. The phone still offers FHD+ resolution at 1080x2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Powering the phone is its octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC and in terms of memory, you get 6GB RAM with an internal storage of 128GB. The camera too gets an improvement compared to last year’s model with the Galaxy A61 sporting a quad-camera setup on the rear — a 48MP + 8MP wide-angle cam + 10MP telephoto lens + 5MP depth sensor. The battery has gotten a bump to 4000mAh with support for 20W charging. Some of the popular Samsung mobiles include the Samsung Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A70s.

Samsung Galaxy A61 Details

Display
The Samsung Galaxy A61 is a mid-range phone that succeeds last year’s Samsung Galaxy A60, which was not launched in India. The phone has a 6.4-inch LCD panel with a punch-hole on the top left side, which Samsung calls the Infinity-O display. You get Full HD+ resolution on this screen and it is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Snapdragon 712, Rear Quad Camera Setup
At the heart of the Samsung Galaxy A61 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 712 processor with an Adreno 616 graphics processing unit. The phone packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard memory. The phone runs the latest version of Samsung’s One UI over Android 10. The camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy A61 gets a big improvement as compared to last year’s model as the smartphone now sports a quad-camera array. The primary camera is now a 48MP lens while the secondary camera is an ultrawide 8MP shooter. You also get a 10MP telephoto lens that features 2x optical zoom, and wrapping up the set is a 5MP depth sensor. For your selfies, you get a 20MP f/2.0 camera housed inside the display’s punch-hole. You can record videos with front and rear cameras, but you are restricted to 1080p videos on the front camera while the rear camera lets you shoot 4K videos.
4000mAh Battery, Connectivity
The Galaxy A61 gets an upgrade in the battery department too, as it comes equipped with a 4000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. The device comes with a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 5.0. The rest of the specs are standard — Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a 3.5mm headphone jack, A-GPS and GLONASS for your location services and FM radio.
