The smartwatch has 512 MB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 4 GB. The most interesting innovation is perhaps the inclusion of a power button. The 1.9-megapixel camera is attached to the Galaxy Gear strap and proves essential if one needs to capture quick snaps. The image quality isn't super high but it packs interesting features like you can take Sound and Shot pictures with the Galaxy Gear, activate macro mode for close up shots. In addition one can also shoot videos. The drawback of the smartwatch is that the shutter sound cannot be turned off so drop the idea of being a spy. Images can be easily transferred using Bluetooth 4.0. It also supports NFC connectivity. The battery on the Gear is its least appealing features. The smartwatch's battery lasts through the day but don't expect it to go much further than that. When compared to the LG G watch, Samsung offers some of its own apps for monitoring heart rate. The other apps which you can run are Evernote, eBay and Runkeeper. In a nutshell, the Samsung Gear comes with a better design and better specs than the LG G watch at a right price.
