Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020

Samsung may be most well known for its superb flagship Android phones, and in more recent times, the A series and M series of budget and entry level smartphones, but there was a time before Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Vivo etc when Samsung used to make terrible budget smartphones. People who did not want to purchase a low quality or no name brand would opt for Samsung s entry level phones, but would have a very bad experience because these phones were genuinely bad to use. The phones were slow and clunky, had awful battery life and bad cameras, and people resigned themselves to dealing with this because there were no alternatives. Thankfully, we saw a revolution in the price segment and today people can expect to buy a competent phone even if they buy a device around the 6k mark. Strangely enough, though, Samsung has decided to revive one of its worst budget grade phones the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020. And it is not a juiced up phone that only has the name in common with its predecessor, because this phone is underwhelming when it comes to specs as well. Looking like it was packed away in a cellar for the last 5 years, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020 comes with a 5-inch display offering a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels at a 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone has a TFT display and large bezels. Powering the phone is an Exynos 7 Quad 7570 chipset and you also get 1GB of RAM with 8GB of storage space. You get an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP front camera if you ever want to take photos of your face. The phone has a battery with a capacity of 2600mAh, which should suffice because you probably won t use this phone much for anything. Surprisingly the phone does support 4G networks. Some of the popular Samsung mobile phones include the Samsung Galaxy A31, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

We don t see a reason why Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core (2020). It is just not cut out for an era where there are so many smartphones in the market that offer much better specifications than the J2 Core (2020) for the same price.
