Samsung Galaxy M30s

The Samsung Galaxy M30s has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop-shaped notch for the selfie camera. The Galaxy M30s screen has 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a scratch resistant glass. The phone uses a glass front and back, and a plastic chassis. The phone has a fingerprint reader on the rear. There s a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

The biggest upgrade that the Galaxy M30s brings over the Galaxy M30 is the processing power. The Galaxy M30s is equipped with an Exynos 9610 chipset, which has four ARM Cortex-A73 CPU cores that are clocked at 2.3GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores that are clocked at 1.7GHz. The chipset also features the ARM Mali-G72MP3 GPU. The Exynos 9611 is much faster than the Exynos 7904 which was used in the Galaxy M30. There s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. There s a dedicated microSD card slot, too, and it can be used for expanding the storage space. The phone runs Android 9 Pie-based Samsung One UI software.

Samsung has improved the camera on the Galaxy M30s compared to that of the Galaxy M30. The new phone now features a 48MP primary camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. There s HDR, PDAF, and dual-LED flash. The phone can record 4K videos with 30fps frame rate. On the front, the Samsung Galaxy M30s uses a 16MP selfie camera with a fixed-focus lens and 1080p Full HD video recording at 30fps. Both front and rear-facing cameras on this phone can capture images with a background blur effect (also known as bokeh effect).

The Galaxy M30s is powered by the same 6000mAh battery unit that powers the Galaxy M30. It supports 15W wired fast charging through the phone s bundled wall charging unit and USB Type-C port. Samsung calls its version of rapid charging Adaptive Fast Charging. In the connectivity department, the Galaxy M30s features dedicated dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
