Design and Specifications
Samsung Rex 60 is a dual sim offering from the new Rex series of feature phones from Samsung. Samsung has launched the Rex series to compete with Nokia's Asha series. The Rex 60 is a cute little offering with a 2.8" LCD TFT capacitive touch screen. The phone has a curved appearance reminiscent of the Samsung Champ Duos feature phone. Samsung Rex 60 has dimensions of 101.8 x 55 x 12.3 mm making it extremely handy and at 90 grams it weighs the least among the Rex feature phones.
Camera and Multimedia
Rex 60 offers a simple 1 MP camera that is sufficient for only basic photography. The camera comes with zoom but is devoid of features such as flash, auto focus etc. There is no secondary camera on the phone either. Rex 60 seems to be targeted for the budget conscious and as such even the multimedia offerings are quite limited. The user can listen to music in MP3, MIDI, WAV and AMR formats but can watch videos only in the 3GP format. The phone does however come with 10 Free Games from Gameloft.
Connectivity and Feature
Samsung Rex 60 is a dual sim phone and supports quad band 2G networks on both its Sims. The phone provides users with internet connectivity via GPRS and EDGE. There is no Wifi facility in the phone. Users can transfer their favourite songs and other data from computer via Bluetooth or by using USB.
Battery and Storage
The phone provides a 1000 mAh Li-ion battery that provides up to 890 minutes or 14 hours of talk time for users. There is only 30 MB of internal memory in the phone for users to store media files and other content. Users however can expand this by up to 32 GB using micro SD card slot.
