Samsung Z2

Samsung Z2 is an entry-level Tizen-based smartphone that succeeds the Z3. The device is small, compact and ships with very basic hardware and is aimed towards new smartphone users. 

Unlike other Samsung devices, the Z-series runs the proprietary Tizen operating system out of the box. The Samsung Z2 is based on the Tizen 2.4 operating system. In addition to running Tizen, Samsung has also preloaded a bunch of its own apps and services which include the Ultra Data Saving mode, the S Bike Mode, etc. The device ships with 8GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 128GB via a memory card.

The Samsung Z2 has a 4-inch display with FWVGA resolution which reproduces detailed images and also has a decent colour reproduction. In terms of performance, the smartphone ensures seamless performance as it is equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Keeping in mind the price point it comes with, one should not expect much in return. 

On the connectivity front, the device comes with 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. Also, one gets dual-SIM support with the Samsung Z2. For imaging, the smartphone offers a 5-megapixel primary camera along with an LED falsh for shooting videos and images. Even though the smartphone has a front camera on board, nothing much is expected out of it.

The device is expected to last for a day for a beginner as it is backed by a 1,500 mAh battery. Available in red, gold, and black colour variants, the device is 10.8 mm thick. The smartphone is available across all offline channels and online on Paytm exclusively. Users also buyers will also gets a free Reliance Jio SIM card with unlimited access to services like unlimited data, calls, text messages, and Jio’s own apps like My Jio, Jio on Demand that offers users access to movies, TV shows, etc.
