Samsung Z3

Samsung Z3 is a budget successor to the Samsung Z1, after the company decided not to ship the Z2. The smartphone has features similar to the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Core Prime but instead runs Samsung’s own Tizen OS.

The Samsung Z3 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and 294 PPI pixel density that would show vivid and detailed images and videos. The display also has wider viewing angles and a higher refresh rate giving rise to smooth graphics. The phone measures a relatively slim 7.9 mm thick and weighs 137 grams. It features Samsung’s physical home buttons and touch buttons below the screen, power button on the right and volume buttons on the left. The microUSB port is at the bottom edge of the phone.

The smartphone runs Tizen 2.4 OS, features a 64-bit Spreadtrum chipset having a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. On the chipset, along with the processor, there sits an Adreno 306 GPU to deliver solid gaming performance. 1GB RAM is present on the phone to make sure multi-tasking on the smartphone. The device comes with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via an external memory card.

A 2,600 mAh battery sits on the back of the smartphone capable of keeping the device alive for a day of use. In the imaging department, the smartphone offers an 8-megapixel rear shooter along with a 5-megapixel front camera. The rear camera comes equipped with an LED flash and has autofocus to capture the perfect images. It captures images at 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution and has additional features such as face detection and geo-tagging.

The dual-SIM smartphone comes with a host of connectivity options on-board for a budget smartphone. The device comes with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port.
