Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is a mid-range Android operating system phablet device and single SIM variant of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual phablet. Below are the detailed features and specifications of the device as per official announcement by Sony.

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is a 6" large Android based phablet powered with a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8928 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. In terms of memory, it has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage that could be further expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card.

As mentioned earlier, the screen on the Xperia T2 Ultra is 6" large featuring IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with triluminous display and mobile BRAVIA engine 2. The screen has HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution giving an effective pixel density of about 245 PPI. It is capable of recognizing up to 10 fingers simultaneously which could be quite useful while playing high end games.

In terms of design, the Xperia T2 Ultra would supposedly feature the same looks and feel as in other Xperia series devices from Sony.

The phablet has a 13 MP primary auto-focus snapper on the rear with an LED flash which could be quite helpful while shooting photos under low light conditions. The camera has other common features including geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, image stabilization, sweep panorama, etc. It also has a 1.1 MP secondary front facing camera, that could be used for video calling and shooting self-portraits. Both the cameras on the device are capable of shooting full HD videos.

In terms of multimedia capabilities, the Xperia T2 Ultra supports playback of all the common multimedia formats including, but not limited to, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, etc

The device comes shipped with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean operating system with minor UI customizations by Sony. The phablet will also be pre-loaded with common apps and have other common software features including Gmail, Google search, Maps, Hangouts, Youtube, document reader, image/video editor, etc.

The phablet will have a 3000 mAh battery on board which, the company claims, will be able to keep the device powered for about 1071 hours in standby mode. In terms of connectivity options, the device has GPRS, EDGE, 3G - HSDPA - 42 Mbps, HSUPA - 5.76 Mbps; Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB v2.0 & NFC.
