Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova

The Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova is a budget smartphone having basic features such as a quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and comes in two attractive colours, blue and grey.

The smartphone features a FWVGA (854 480 pixels) display measuring at 5-inches. This gives the IPS display a pixel density of 196 PPI. The low pixel density is however offset by the brightness of the screen, which promises visibility even in bright sunlight. The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. Though the OS is rather old, the company so far has not promised any updates.

The dual-SIM smartphone comes is 3G enabled, but only on one of the SIM slots. The second SIM slot cannot handle data connectivity. In addition, the smartphone also doesn t come with dual active technology, which enables both the SIM slots to remain active. Additional connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 3.5mm audio port, microUSB 2.0 and GPS.

In the imaging department, the Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova comes with a 5-megapixel rear shooter which is complemented by a wide angle 2-megapixel selfie camera. The front camera can capture decent quality selfies and also doubles up to allow video calling. The rear camera comes with LED flash to allow capturing of images even in low light conditions. Additional camera features include autofocus, panorama, geo-tagging etc.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor which is comes with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. The powerful processor manages to deliver consistent performance through most daily use situations and ensures that the user navigation is butter smooth. The processor is coupled with 1GB of RAM to ensure that the device never lags, even with many apps simultaneously open. Memory on the device is ample with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can further be expanded up to 32GB via an external memory card.
