Vivo Y22

The Vivo Y22 is a budget device from the Chinese manufacturer which comes with an impressive 128GB of expandable storage space, a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen and a MediaTek processor.

The smartphone ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The OS is rather outdated and could do with an upgrade to at least Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone comes with FWVGA (854 480 pixels) resolution. However, a 4.5-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display means that the device packs a rather impressive 218 PPI. The device comes in an 8.6mm thick body and weighs in at 126 grams.

The smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera. The rear shooter comes with vital features such as LED flash, panorama stitch, HDR etc. to ensure that users can capture stunning images at all times. The primary camera can capture images and record videos in full HD at a frame rate of 30fps. A 5-megapixel front shooter allows the users to capture selfies and make video calls in HD. The front camera however does not come with a flash. The smartphone is backed by a Li-Ion 1900mAh battery which supports talk time up to 12 hours.

A quad-core MediaTek MT65822 processor runs the device and comes with a clock speed of 1.3GHz. The processor is paired with 1GB of RAM to deliver performance expected from a device in this segment. Although the device comes with only 4GB of inbuilt memory, the microSD card slot on the device accommodates expansion of up to 128GB.

The smartphone comes with a host of connectivity options such as Wi-FI, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and a microUSB 2.0 slot. The dual-SIM smartphone is 3G enabled on both the SIM slots but does not come with dual-active technology which allows both the SIM slots to simultaneously transmit and receive data.
