Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro

The biggest upgrade on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro compared to its predecessor comes in the form of the camera setup. The handset now gets a quad camera setup at the rear. The primary camera uses a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL sensor while the secondary camera comes with an 8-megapixel sensor. The third camera on the handset uses a 5-megapixel sensor while the last sensor is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the Redmi Note 8 Pro gets a 25-megapixel camera housed inside a pop-up mechanism. The phone also supports a variety of AI features and modes. The display on the Redmi Note 8 Pro sees a major upgrade over the outgoing model. The phone now gets an AMOLED panel instead of a standard IPS LCD panel. What has remained unchanged is the display resolution which remains the same at 1080 x 2340 pixels.

Unlike its lower priced sibling, the Redmi Note 8 that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, the Pro version of the handset gets a MediaTek chipset. The phone is among the first devices to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset that was only recently announced by the company. This chipset houses an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2 GHz. As for the graphics, the chipset uses the flagship grade ARM Mali G76 GPU. The handset will be offered in multiple RAM and storage versions with the top end version coming with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset also gets a hybrid slot for SIM and memory cards. The Redmi Note 8 Pro gets a large 4,000 mAh Li-Ion battery with support for fast charging

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features comprehensive connectivity options that include support for 4G VoLTE networks as well as Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n. The handset also gets USB Type-C for wired connectivity.
