Xolo A500S runs on a 1.3 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6572W chipset based on Cortex A7 processor. It comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB on board memory, which is expendable up to 32 GB using the microSD card slot. It comes with accelerometer and proximity sensors.

The device has a sleek and elegant design. The phone has a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display with a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It weights around 120 grams and is around 9 mm thin. It is available in black, white, blue and red colors.
