YU Yureka Note

Micromax subsidiary YU has introduced a note-variant of the previously launched YU Yureka. The company's last flagship device, the YU Yutopia failed to impress but the latest offering comes bundled with power packed features.

The YU Yureka Note runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box which might sound outdated but does the job pretty well. The smartphone boasts a big 6-inch Full HD IPS display which offers excellent viewing angles and reproduces bright and vibrant colours. The screen on the device comes with Corning's Gorilla Glass protection that makes sure that the device does not house any unwanted scratches.

One need not complain about any performance issues as the smartphone is designed to deliver flawless performance courtesy a 1.5 GHz octa-core 64-bit chipset. Also, with 3GB RAM, you can afford to work on more than one app simultaneously thus making room for multitasking. For graphics, it comes with a Mali T-720 GPU that allows users to enjoy games. In terms of storing files and apps, there shouldn't be any problems as the smartphone comes with 16GB of internal storage space which can further be expanded via a microSD card.

Post the disappointment of the YU Yutopia, YU has put in a lot to make things work in their favour which is evident from the fact that the Yureka Note ships with a fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor not only helps in keeping your data safe but also saves you the pain of entering a password every time. As per the company the sensor is quite fast as well.

Imaging and videos are taken care by the 13-megapixel rear camera paired with an LED flash. The presence of LED flash lets you capture images and record videos in the dark. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter as well to aid selfies and video calls. Additional modes like face and smile detection, panorama, HDR and autofocus add more to your images.

Connectivity options that come along with the Yureka Note include 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and a microUSB 2.0 port. The device is fuelled by a huge 4,000 mAh battery that keeps the device running up for the entire day with heavy usage.
