The iPhone 4S features a 3.5-inch IPS LCD Retina display with LED backlight that displays bright colors and sharp visuals. The 3.5-inch display is perfect for games and entertainment while being easy to use with one hand and easy to stow away. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and an oleophobic coating. The back of the phone is protected by scratch-resistant glass. The phone is 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm and weighs 140 grams. ?

The phone runs iOS 5, that can be upgraded to 9.3.5, on an Apple A5 SoC with a dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with 512MB of RAM that takes care of simple mobile tasks. Storage space on the phone is limited to 64GB while other variants of the iPhone 4S come with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB of storage space. Storage space on the phone cannot be expanded further.

The rear camera on the phone is 8-megapixels with an f/2.4 aperture that takes clear images. The camera was ahead of other smartphone cameras at the time of the phone’s release. The phone takes quality images at low light conditions with its LED flash. The app feature autofocus, geotagging, face detection and other helpful features. The primary camera is also capable of Full HD video recording. The secondary camera is 0.3-megapixels that takes simple images. This camera is capable of video recording at 480p, and was the first-of-its-kind with its video calling feature. The iPhone 4S is fuelled by a 1,432mAh Li-Po battery.
