ASUS Zenfone 3 Ultra

The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra is the biggest of the Zenfone 3 series of smartphones. The device also does not come with microUSB Type-C reversible port instead it features the more traditional microUSB 2.0 port. The phablet similar to the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe runs the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

The phablet features a giant 6.8-inch Full HD IPS LCD display that reproduces clear and detailed images. The screen on the device can also be read easily under bright sunlight. One of the fascinating aspects of the Zenfone 3 Ultra is that it includes a PixelWorks iris2+ TV grade processor which is specially optimized for 4K viewing. The focus is on entertainment as is clear from the fact that the phablet comes bundled with two speakers at the bottom and a DTS Headphone which delivers 7.1 surround sound.

Keeping in mind the multimedia aspect, the phablet is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset that let things flow smoothly. There is 4GB of RAM to take care of your multitasking needs and for storing apps and other media files, the device has 64GB of internal storage space which can further be expanded up to 200GB via a microSD card using the Hybrid SIM slot similar to the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

The Zenfone 3 Ultra comes with an array of connectivity options including 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Infrared and a microUSB 2.0 port. There is a huge 4,600 mAh battery that can act reverse charge other devices over a 1.5A current. The battery on the Zenfone 3 Ultra has fast charging capabilities as it ha sQuick Charge 3.0 support that can charge the phablet up to 60% in just 45 minutes.

The imaging section has been left unaltered to the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. There is the same 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor at the back which is paired with a dual-tone LED flash to aid in dull situations and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter in the front for selfies and video calling. One notable difference is that the fingerprint scanner has been moved from the back to the front, below the display that can be accessed easily.
