Gionee Elife E7 is the next Android Jellybean 4.2 operating system based smartphone from Gionee that's an upgraded version of the company's earlier flagship device - The Gionee Elife E6. The device is powered with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz quad core (for 16 GB version) and 2.5 GHz (for 32 GB version) and comes with 2GB of RAM for multitasking and 16GB of internal storage for app installation and media storage.

The screen on Gionee Elife E7 will be 5.5 inch large (diagonally) featuring JDI display and Gorilla Glass 3.0 screen protection. The screen resolution of the phone is full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resulting in a pixel density of about 441 PPI. Design wise, Elife E7 inherits the looks and design from its older sibling - The Elife E6.

Gionee Elife E7 featrues a whooping 16 MP auto-focus primary camera on the rear of the device with an LED flash light for better low light photography. The device also has an 8 MP secondary camera on the front of the device for video calling and snapping selfies. Both the rear and front camera on the device is capable of recording videos in full HD format. The phone also supports playback of common multimedia formats including, but not limited to, MP3, MP4, AVI, AAC, WAV, etc.

Gionee Elife E7 runs on Android Jellybean 4.2 operating system and features Gionee's Amigo 2.0 UI, as seen on Elife E6. The amigo UI developed by Gionee resembles to iOS 7 UI to some extent. The phone will also have other common software features preloaded, including document reader, photo and video editor, Google search, Gmail, Hangouts, Maps, etc. When it comes to the connectivity options of the device, it will have GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 & USB v2.0 along with 4G support for 32 GB version. Other important features of Elife E7 includes voice control to switch to Google Now (as seen on Moto X) and double tap on screen to wake the device (as seen on LG G2).
