Gionee F6

Gionee announced the release of the Gionee F6; a mid-range smartphone that aims to offer decent features at an affordable price. It aims to compete with mid-range dominators such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. The device is  153.8 × 72.6 × 7.8mm in size and weighs approximately 141g. It is available in Black, Blue and gold colours. 

The Gionee F6 features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1440x720(282ppi pixel density), protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, making it resistant to daily wear and tear and scratches. The primary cameras are 13+2-megapixels with exposure compensation, ISO control, continuous shooting, HDR, digital zoom, auto flash and face detection. The secondary camera is 8-megapixels with LED flash. The dual cameras on the rear are capable of capturing decent quality images and videos and is on par with other devices in the price range. 

The Gionee F6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon clocked at 1.4GHz along with 4GB of RAM and 32Gb of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card. The device features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and is powered by a 3,000mAh Li-pol battery. The device is expected to run Android 6.0 out of the box, which is disappointing, considering that most modern-day devices run with Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. 

The Gionee F6 is a dual SIM phone with one slot compatible with 4G and VoLTE and the other slot compatible with 3G. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
