Gionee GPad G3

The Gionee Gpad G3 is an entry-level smartphone device from Gionee. The large bezels around the display of the Gionee Gpad G3 give it a larger footprint of 157.7 x 79.5 x 9.8 mm, thus making it a little bit uncomfortable to hold in one hand. At the bottom of the display are the three navigation keys, while at the back of the device there is a removable panel that houses SIM cards, battery, as well as a microSD card. To give the device a stylish appeal Gionee has also added a chrome ring around the edge of the device.

The Gionee Gpad G3 has a 5.5-inch WVGA display. The screen is not an HD unit, neither it comes with any protective coating. The operating system in the Gionee Gpad G3 is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is quite outdated now as it was launched in the year of 2013. Gionee has customised the OS by giving it a different visual appeal. The software feels very unoptimised and buggy.  The performance on the Gionee Gpad G3 is handled by the Mediatek MT6589 chipset. The Mediatek MT6589 chipset houses a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The chipset is mated to 512MB of RAM, and there is 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card.

The battery in the Gionee Gpad G3 has a capacity of 2,550 mAh and it is of the removable type.  The connectivity on the Gionee Gpad G3 includes dual-SIM 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a microUSB v2.0 port.
