The Gionee Steel 2 is a budget friendly device with a large battery, strong core specs and a primary camera that captures quality images. The phone is priced at less than Rs. 15,000.

The display on the Steel 2 is a 5.00-inch IPS LCD that shows HD quality media. The device measures 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6 mm while weighing 160 grams. The phone is currently available in gold and features a brush metal finish back with Gionee s new logo at the back. The Steel 2 hosts the standard arrangement of capacitive buttons below the screen.

The phone runs Marshmallow 6.0 with Amigo 3.5 UI on top on a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset that also bears a 3GB RAM. These numbers will ensure the phone functions at a good speed and multitasks efficiently. This version of the Gionee Steel 2 features 16GB of storage that can be increased to a maximum of 128GB with a microSD card that would have a dedicated slot. The phone is also available in 32GB storage variants.

The Steel 2 bears an 8-megapixel primary camera that takes clear images in the presence of ample light, while the secondary camera on the Steel 2 is 5-megapixels that also takes adequately clear images. The primary camera features dual LED flash and can record videos in HD. A 4,000mAh battery powers the phone for over a day.

The Steel 2 accepts dual micro-SIM cards that support 4G LTE and 3G mobile data networks. Other connectivity options the phone has to offer include Wi-Fi 802.11 n/b/g, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0 and a microUSB port.
