Gionee W909

The Gionee W909 packs two display screens, to the inside and outside on the top half of the handset. The dual 4.2-inch IPS LCD displays with 2.5D curved glass have a resolution of 1280x720 pixels at 350ppi pixel density.

The device is a flip-phone model that comes with a T9 keypad alongside the dual touchscreen displays on the lower half of the device. The rear panel with leather finish mounts a fingerprint sensor and a camera. The fingerprint reader lets you unlock the phone in just 0.38 seconds without fumbling for the power key. Tipping the scale at 207grams, the Gionee W909 measures 124 x 62.8 x 16.5mm (height x width x thickness).

As for the camera, the 16-megapixel unit on the back comes with an LED flash, autofocus, panorama, and PDAF. The flash lets you take pictures in low-light conditions. You can record videos up to 1080p@30fps as well. A 5-megapixel front camera acts as a selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Gionee W909 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor and is paired with 4GB of RAM. The RAM enables multitasking and effortless switching between apps. Accompanying this is the Mali T860MP2 graphics processor, that takes care of your gaming needs. The smartphone packs 64GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded by 128GB with the help of a microSD card slot.

On the connectivity front, the Gionee W909 offers options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, and 4G network compatibility. The Type-C 1.0 USB port enables external media connectivity. The dual-SIM feature is absent as the handset supports only a single microSIM. The smartphone runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.
