The first thing you will notice when you see the Honor View 10 is its punch-hole design that cleverly avoids the need of a notch without having to sacrifice the selfie camera. It so happens that this is the first smartphone with this type of display to have gone on sale. With this design, Honor was able to achieve a 91.8 percent screen-to-body ratio for its “All-View” display. As for the camera, the brand has crammed a 25MP sensor in the cut-out. This ‘In-Screen AI’ camera is packed with all the standard Honor image enhancements features including beauty, bokeh, AR filters and more. Furthermore, it supports Face Unlock capabilities.

The Honor View 20 also holds the title of being the first smartphone to feature Sony’s 48MP IMX 586 sensor. With the help of Honor’s NPU capabilities, this sensor is primed to capture incredibly detailed shots. Furthermore, depth information is gathered with the accompanying TOF 3D camera. This sensor has also been designed to aid in scene recognition. For this, Honor says the camera will be able to accurately identify 1500 scenarios within in 60 categories. This sensor should also be beneficial for playing 3D games. Furthermore, Honor claims this 3D sensor can be used to recognize types of food and give an estimate of how many calories they have. With a 4-in-1 superpixel tech and Artificial Image Stabilization (AIS), this camera setup is able to take some impressively detailed shots in low-light scenarios as well. There are only two aspects this impressive camera setup misses out on – the ability to record 4K videos with 60 FPS, and OIS.

The back of the Honor View 10 has been expertly crafted to reflect light in such a way that you will always see “V” shaped patterns. This glass back is also cleanly designed, with the dual rear camera positioned horizontally on the top left, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner placed below. Honor has even gone as far as to offer not only a 3.5mm headphone jack but also an IR emitter on the View 20. The latter will primarily help you use the smartphone as a remote control for your TV.

Looking at the internal specifications of the Honor View 20, there is no doubt in our minds that this is a no-compromise smartphone. An S-shaped heat pipe can be found inside the Honor View 10 in order to cool the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset that runs the show. This chipset offers four high-performance Cortex-A76 cores, four power-efficient Cortex-55 cores, and a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. You also have Honor’s GPU Turbo 2.0 To eliminate the possibility of Wi-Fi network drops, something that can mean the difference between winning or losing when gaming online, the phone has been equipped with a Triple-Antenna Wi-Fi system. This ensures uninterrupted connectivity no matter how the phone is held and also helps with network speeds. There is also Honor’s AI Dual Frequency GPS system that is said to achieve 10 times more accurate positioning. Finally, to keep this entire package running for as long as possible, Honor has loaded the View 20 with a large 4000mAh battery. This cell charges over the included USB Type-C port, and supports 5V 4A fast charge. Honor says that the Fast Charger that ships with this phone will be able to achieve up to a 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
