Huawei Y5 (2019)

Huawei has refreshed its Y5 phone for 2019. The phone comes in black, blue, and brown. The blue variant has a usual plastic back whereas the brown version comes with a faux leather pattern. You can avail both the finishes in black. The pattern on the back is reminiscent of the Galaxy Grand 2 from 2014. The front has a waterdrop notch-screen, but the bezels are quite thick. Speaking of display, you get a 5.7-inch IPS (In Plane Switching) panel with 720 x 1520 pixels. With the aspect ratio of 19:9, the screen offers pixel density of 295 ppi.

To keep the prices in check, Huawei has gone with an affordable MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset. Based on the 12 nm manufacturing process, this chip comprises of four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2 GHz. To handle the gaming bit, the handset relies on the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The handset gets 2GB RAM for multitasking. The Huawei Y5 (2019) comes in 16GB and 32GB storage models. Moreover, there's a dedicated microSD card slot. Moving on to the photography department, the Y5 (2019) is equipped with single 13 MP camera. The camera supports auto, HDR, and Panorama modes. For night shots, the lens is coupled with an LED flash. The Y5 (2019) can record Full HD videos at 30 fps. For selfies, the phone settles for a 5 MP module.

In terms of connectivity options, the Huawei's phone covers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and A-GPS (Assisted GPS). This dual SIM phone uses a dated micro USB port for charging and draws power from a 3020 mAh battery. The Huawei Y5 (2019) runs Android 9 Pie with feature-packed EMUI 9 on top.
