Intex Aqua Classic

The Intex Aqua Classic is an entry level smartphone available in India for under Rs. 5,000. The phone comes with good core specs and battery for its price.

The Aqua Classic comes with a 5.0-inch touchscreen display with 480p resolution and 196 PPI pixel density that will serve the purpose of displaying adequately clear content. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The strong phone measures 9.3mm thick and weighs 160 grams. It is available in three colors: white, grey and champagne.

The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS on a Spreadtrum SC7731C SoC with a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and 1GB of RAM that will keep activities on the phone running without much lag although this might not be the phone for you if you intend to play intensive games or multitask much. Storage on the phone is limited to 8GB expandable to 32GB with a microSD card.

The rear and front cameras are an unremarkable 5-megapixels and 0.3-megapixels for taking pictures. You might need to ensure ample light to make the best out of these cameras. The phone is powered by a 2,100mAh Li-ion battery that will last less than a day with moderate use.

The phone supports two 3G SIM cards, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a microUSB port. The phone comes with support to display Indian languages through Matrabhasha, and other homegrown apps such as FreeCharge, Opera Mini, Saavn, Hike and Mobikwik.
