Intex Aqua Jewels 2

Intex, keeping with their monthly device release schedule, announced the release of the Intex Aqua Jewel 2. At this point, it's extremely difficult to gauge which device is a sequel to which one, as Intex's naming scheme is incredibly confusing. The Intex Aqua Jewel 2 sports a 5-inch TFT panel with a resolution of 720x1080(294ppi pixel density). As expected, the panel is unprotected, so you're better off putting a layer of tempered glass on it. The primary camera is 8-megapixels with a f/2.4 lens and LED flash. The secondary camera is 5-megapixels with a f/2.2 lens. Given the narrow aperture of the lenses, low light photography will yield sub-par results.

The Intex Aqua Jewel 2 is powered by a quad core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor clocked at 1.3GHz, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to a whopping 32GB via micro SD expansion. The GPU on the device is an ARM Mali 400-MP and the battery is a 2,500mAh Li-ion unit which should ideally last you anything between half a day to a day, depending on usage. The device is expected to run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box, but there no word of a future Oreo update so far.

The Intex Aqua Jewel 2 is a dual SIM phone with one SIM compatible with 4G and VoLTE and the other with 3G. Other connectivity features include 802.111 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. Like all other Intex devices, the Aqua Jewel 2 is meant only for the most basic of tasks and can serve as a backup device, at best.
