The Intex Aqua Lions 3 is an upper mid-range Android smartphone. The device is a direct competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi 4A and the Xiaomi Redmi 4. The device has a very basic design, and it is not made out of metal. The back panel has a rubberised finish to it for a gripper feel, and the edges are rounded for a comfortable hold. The front of the device has a glossy black finish. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 measures 139.6 x 68.8 x 9.4mm, and it weighs 162 grammes.

The Intex Aqua Lions 3 has an IPS LCD display of 5-inch screen-size. The display has an HD resolution and a 2.5D curved glass over it. The display has DragonTrail protection to armour it against damages. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 has an 8-megapixel primary camera along with an LED flash and autofocus. A front-facing camera is also an 8-megapixel unit with LED flash, but there no autofocus present. The main camera can record Full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

However, the device misses out on the fingerprint scanner, which is a great deal as the Xiaomi Redmi 4, which is also priced similarly, comes with a fingerprint scanner. The device is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz and 2GB of RAM. The device also has a microSD memory expansion slot apart from its 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 is shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The device has no guaranteed updates to the Android O OS.

The USP of the Intex Aqua Lions 3 is its large 4,000mAh battery. The battery can be charged through the microUSB port, and it does not support fast charging. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 has 4G LTE and VoLTE cellular connectivity along with dual-SIM card support.
