Intex Cloud 4G Star

The Intex Cloud 4G Star is one of the cheapest Android smartphones to have launched with 4G LTE connectivity and competes with smartphones like the Lenovo A series and the Xiaomi Redmi Note. In addition to 4G connectivity, the phone also features a high-resolution display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Cloud 4G Star is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor that can handle most tasks with ease, with 2GB of RAM allowing good multitasking for power users. The display is a 5-inch LCD unit with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and is sharp enough for gaming, videos and regular usage like WhatsApp and Facebook as well. The phone runs Android Lollipop and has access to a huge amount of third-party apps for enhancing the experience, with 16GB of internal storage for installing these apps and storing media files.

Those who need extra storage can take advantage of the microSD slot, which supports cards of up to 32GB. Imaging is handled by a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with an LED flash for low-light photography. The front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel sensor that should be able to take selfies that do the job and capture sufficient detail. In terms of connectivity, 4G networks are supported in addition to usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth. GPS is included for real-time navigation.

Powering the hardware is a 2,300 mAh battery. Given the specifications, the battery should be able to handle medium to heavy usage with aplomb, though users will have to keep a charger handy if they intend to use a 4G data connection. The Cloud 4G Star is available in Black and Champagne colours.
