Karbonn Titanium S5 Plus

Karbonn's new Titanium S5 Plus is a mid-level Android device designed to please with some attractive built-in features, such as a big display, quad-core CPU, and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

The phone runs on a quad-core MediaTek Cortex-A7 processor at a 1.2GHz clock speed, with a PowerVR GPU accompanying the processor for taking care of performance in apps and games. There is 1GB of RAM in the memory department. 1GB of RAM isn't too high, but at the phone's price it is pretty much an expected specification and offers above average multitasking. The storage on the phone is 4GB on the internal front, and a microSD slot means you can expand available space by up to 32GB when needed.

The Titanium S5 Plus has a large 5-inch display that makes it suitable for watching movies and playing high-end games. It's not totally sharp though with the 720p (1280x720) resolution, but that doesn't mean it won't offer a good experience for the end-user. Its design is impressive, with a body that's only 7.9mm thick. Unfortunately, white is the only colour in which the device is available, limiting the device in terms of superficial customization.

This smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera for image capture, with support for autofocus and LED flash as most smartphones come with. The 5-inch display acts as a large window to the things you are trying to capture, no matter if it's a still image or a video. Selfies can be taken with the 5-megapixel camera on the front side, and the phone supports major multimedia file formats for playback.

Android 4.2, also known as Jelly Bean, is what the phone offers in terms of software, with the provision for downloading popular apps for making the device truly personal. A 2,600 mAh battery is what users get under the hood, and for the hardware that is ticking inside the device, it should be more than enough for extended use periods.
